Fest'Oie (Goose Fair): 3-4 March

Easter Egg Hunt: Easter Monday: 2,000 multi-coloured goose eggs hidden throughout the town!
La Ringueta: Whit Sunday (even years only) - celebration of traditional games
Journees du Terroir: May: two day market with local produce
Sarlat Swing It: First weekend of June - Jazz & Blues festival on Place de la Liberté
Fete de la Musique: 21/06 - National Music Day with music throughout the town
Bastille Day: 14/07 - with fireworks and celebrations
Theatre Festival: 19/07-04/08: one of the oldest theatre festivals in France with open-air theatres throughout the town (see below)
Photography Exhibition: July/August
Patrimonie: Third weekend in September: Sarlat is beautifully lit up in the evening by 10,000 candles!
Journées du Goût et de la Gastronomie: End of September - Discover a weekend of gastronomy
Sarlat Film Festival: 14-18/11
Christmas Market: 05-31/12 - food, drink, artisan stalls plus an ice-skating rink and luge!
STREET ENTERTAINERS perform on Place de la Liberté and other locations throughout the town from June through to October
SARLAT MARKET takes place every Wednesday and Saturday with a wonderful farmers' market outside your window on Place de la Liberté and an artisan market along Rue de la République.

Many of Sarlat's cultural events take place on and around Place de la Liberté and street entertainers perform on Place de la Liberté from June through until mid-October, so you have a spectacular bird's eye view of most of Sarlat's events, entertainment and the famous Sarlat Market from your apartment window!
